Quartets
The Martellos (previously Acafellas), who have taken their name from the prominent landmark towers of Kingston, have been entertaining audiences in the area for the past three years. Members are Dave Gilmore (Tenor), Frank Pinch (Lead), Ken Hancock (Bass) and Dave Fewtrell (Baritone), all experienced barbershoppers who love that unique, a cappella four-part harmony sound.
Perpetual Emotion are the Townsmen's latest quartet, formed in May 2013 to perform at a church in Portland, ON, that was in dire need of musical accompaniment for one of its services. The quartet's great blend of voices, rapport and common musical interests gave them the incentive to stick together despite the two hour commute between Kingston and Cornwall.
To this day, the quartet has performed at numerous community events, concerts, church services, and has also participated in seasonal events such as Christmas caroling for the Partners In Mission Food Bank and delivering Singing Valentines to loved ones everywhere.
